Ramblings + Ceiling Light Love

I've been sick on and off for a week and it's getting old fast.  Needless to say I haven't accomplished much (boo!)  I did paint the powder room but I'm waiting for the stencil.  Yes, I actually made a decision and bought one.  Shocking I know.  They must be forging the metal to make the machine that makes the stencil somewhere in middle earth right now.  That's the only reason I can possibly come up with for why it is taking so long to get to me.  Anyway, I was going to show the paint color, but I'll wait to show you the whole thing.  It will be more of a surprise.  We also put up a light which looks very fancy shmancy (you'll have to wait for that too!).

In the meantime, here's some lights that I found in my many searches that I'm in love with. Now to find the money a place in the house for one or more of them.

Wilamette 6 Schoolhouse Pendant Light traditional pendant lighting

Lucia Drum Pendant eclectic pendant lighting

Capiz-Shell Pendant Light  modern chandeliers

LARGE HICKS PENDANT modern pendant lighting

Harmon Pendant - Restoration Hardware traditional pendant lighting

Basil Flush Mount Light contemporary ceiling lighting

Single Sloane Street Shop Light With Metal Shade traditional pendant lighting

MASKROS Pendant Lamp contemporary pendant lighting

Mini George II Chandelier traditional chandeliers

Sunburst Light Fixture contemporary bathroom lighting and vanity lighting

Looking at these really brings home the fact that I like too many styles.  I'm an indecisive person who likes everything.  Wow that's a lethal combo.  Do you find yourself leaning towards one particular style or do you like an eclectic mix of styles like moi?

  1. First, sorry to hear you're still not feeling well :( Hope this week is better.
Second, I love every one of the lights above and have the same problem: I like so many styles it makes choosing really hard. I have some mean paralysis by analysis sometimes as a result.

  2. Eclectic all the way--except lately I've realized that at my core I lean towards traditional. With that in mind, I've been buying major pieces in a traditional style and going fun and quirky with the accessories. It's much cheaper to swap out a pillow I'm tired of than it is a dining room table.

    hope you feel better :-)

  5. I find myself leaning towards the fact that I know EXACTLY how you feel.
I adore School House Electric. I have bought from them too many times to admit to. My husband will never need to know.
I have a delivery from Restoration hardware sitting in my living room right now. No lie. I LOVE THEM. Their prices can be redonk thoooo. I only buy when there is a sale.
Ikea...well, Ikea...is my lover of loves. Just sayin.
So happy you visited my blog, because I just fell in love with yours too.

  6. I have my eye on that Hicks Pendant for our eventual kitchen remodel. But like you, I like many styles, so I also have my eye on something more in line with the traditional pendant from Restoration Hardware. Good thing I don't have to make a decision right now!
