Well after the inevitable delays and reordering of some tile, the second floor bath is back on track. The tile was just finished yesterday.
Next up is paint and board and batten. Will it ever end? My poor husband is up to his ears in projects around the house, especially since I've asked him to help me with the Color My World Challenge (hee-hee).
Oh, and an update on the powder room stencil. It sucks a big fat one. Sorry, but it does. The smallest room in the house is probably going to take me the longest. I've almost given up so many times but I've come this far. I WILL finish it...just not this week.
Any projects that are making you want to pull out every hair on your head or am I the only one?
Oh Tiffany, it is looking gorgeous - can't wait to see the board and batten walls - a favorite of mine!! We are up to our eyes in painting (inside and out)!!
ReplyDeleteOoh... the tile is so pretty! Especially love the tile surround. Is it marble? I love all things marble.
ReplyDeleteLove the tile...looks the same/similar to the marble subway tile in our kitchen backsplash. Classic!
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking about stenciling our powder room, but there are so many other projects on the list...
I feel ya on the powder room stencil! I did it (see it here: http://www.lifeonmarsblog.net/2011/09/powder-room-reveal.html) and it took FOREVER! Just a tip... if you use a roller, it goes much faster.
ReplyDeleteThe bathroom is look AMAZING though! The tile is gorgeous.
That tile is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteI just love your tile choices! I really want to do this to my upstairs bath... some day. I'm sorry about the stencil, I have never had much luck wih them either.
ReplyDeleteHello bathroom awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteYour definitley not alone, I have been trying to finish my kitchen for over 3 mths now. Your bathroom is looking gorgeous btw : )
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous. Can't your husband do stenciling, too? I love the way your home is coming together. I know you must be so frustrated by now, I have been there, but stick with it!
ReplyDeleteI wish he would do the stenciling, but I'm kind of particular and I know we would end up arguing so best for me to suffer by myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Mandy! And trust me, 3 months is nothing. Our kitchen is still not done and it got started last September sometime.
ReplyDeleteI know, right? And that's my daughter's bathroom. I'm officially jealous.
ReplyDeleteThanks Danylle. I'm going to set that stencil on fire when I'm done with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Molly. It's actually even better looking in person. Can't wait until the bathroom is done though.
ReplyDeleteThanks Melissa. I don't think you can go wrong with marble. It's just so timeless and it fits in with the age and style of our house. Bonus!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I feel you on the painting thing. I'm thinking of swithing professions since all I seem to do is paint lately anyway.
ReplyDeleteI love that tile! It seems like you are coming into the home stretch; so many projects are finishing up!
ReplyDeleteThat is always where I get bogged down...the last ten percent :-)
