My One Room Challenge Details And Highlighting A Few Linking Participants

I'm so thankful for everyone's sweet comments about my guest room.  I'm beyond excited about the way it came together.

One thing I didn't mention in my reveal were the sources. Mostly because things were either purchased on CL, Ebay, or at consignment stores.  I'm feeling very green right now!  Anyway, I can share a few things.
-Fabrics: Brunschwig & Fils Les Touches and Robert Allen Khandar Indigo.  The two greek key pillows on
the bed I scored at TJ Maxx.
-Bedding: One Kings Lane-Delfinia Greek Key
-Llama and gold box: Target.  I sprayed the llama gold:)
-Tray, cup, bowl, picture frames: Marshalls
-Sheepskin rug: Overstock (Safavieh).  Disclaimer on that though.  It smells like a dozen rotten eggs shoved                           up your nose.  No joke.  I'm hoping it will get better with time.
-Pendant Light: Robert Abbey from Shades of Light.
-Bed throw: Steinmart
-Wallpaper: It's discontinued, but it's Kenneth James from the toile collection.
-Wall color and trim is BM Decorators White.

If I didn't have to carpet the room it really wouldn't have been that much of an expense.  A few splurges, but nothing crazy.

Now on to a slice of the talent that was on this round's ORC.  The Challenger's rooms were all sooooo good that I couldn't pick a favorite if you paid me.  I loved them all and each one deserves to be thoroughly ogled.  The Linking participants rocked it as well but I'm just going to highlight a few.  After all, there were 75 that linked up!

Autumn from Design Dump
This is the most amazing small office ever.  Period.

Lisa from Shine Your Light
Lisa is such an inspiration.  I mean, look at these bookcases!  I totally have bookcase envy.

Ashley from Evaru Design
I want this bathroom.  Now.  That shower curtain sealed the deal for me.  Because of this picture I actually ordered that fabric for my dining room curtains.  Going to attempt pinch pleats.  Lord help me!

Mallory from Charming In Charlotte
Leopard rug, killer styling, and the same pillows I used on my bed.  Done and done.  Love this.

Lance from Parker Kennedy Living
Probably one of the best reveals I've ever seen.  I had the hardest time choosing a picture because they are all so gorgeous.

Kim from The Green Room Interiors
Mind blown.  This was done in 6 weeks.  What the what?  No words.

Seriously, there were so many rooms that I drooled over.  I had a blast following everyone's progress and seeing the reveals.  Please visit these rooms.  Each one is so unique and well done.  I feel honored to be among such amazing company.  Cheers to all of us!!

The One Room Challenge-Week 6, The Reveal!!!!

It's reveal day!!!Woo-hoo!!!!  If you follow me you know exactly how slow I am at renovating/decorating my house.   Seriously, a snail's pace.  I have to say that, though extremely stressful at times, this challenge was just what I needed.  I wish I could One Room Challenge my whole house (did I just say that?)!  What's been even more fun is seeing what all of the Challengers and Linking Participants have done in their rooms.  Talk about a butt load of talent and eye candy (and ideas I'm totally stealing..what?).  Big big thanks to Linda for putting this all together and to my husband for his patience and most importantly, his carpentry and painting skills.  Blah blah Tiffany.  Let's get on with it.  Grab a seat cause I've got a picture of two.  Here's where the room started.

And here it is now.

I got the lamps for a steal at a consignment store.  I love the way they mimic the headboard.

Some snippets of the wallpaper.  That dragon boat makes me giddy!

And, lastly, a nighttime shot.

The one thing that isn't truly done in the room is the art.  With the exception of The Pink Pagoda's amazing blue cheetah print, I didn't have time to find anything that I really loved for the room.  I ended up framing some quick little art projects but it's not what I really want in the room.  I'm not in a hurry to change it though.  It's a guest room that probably won't get used that much so what's there can stay until something better comes along.

So that's it.  I'm so thrilled with how it turned out.  And, I'm exhausted.  I can't wait to just relax and see how everyone else's rooms turned out.  I'm so bummed that I have to work all day and then go to a dinner meeting tonight.  Yay me!  Don't these people know I have blogs to read?!  Please do check out what the Challengers and Linking Participants have done.  Guaranteed to be amazing!!

My Blue And White (And Black) Guest Room

I am linking up to The Pink Pagoda's May blue and white bash today to show a little of my One Room Challenge room.  Just a little.  I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise for Thursday's reveal!  Here are some of the blue and white elements that I'm using in the room.

My awesome ebay find.  Blue and white bliss.  This is adorning my walls.

The almost completed headboard upholstered in Brunschwig & Fils Les Touches.  Love.

And what room would be complete without one of Jennifer's gorgeous prints!  I'm in love with this cheetah.  Who wouldn't be?

Once again I've been a big fat tease so you'll have to check back for Thursday's reveal.

The One Room Challenge-Week Five(Insert Expletive Of Choice)

Hello again!  Welcome back...to CRAZY TOWN.   It's week 5 of the One Room Challenge and it's down to the wire for everyone.  As I mentioned last week I have a conference this weekend so I really don't have much time left.  Luckily I was able to almost complete the room...but it's not done yet.  Oh, and before I forget, thanks to everyone for their sweet and encouraging comments.  I try hard to respond to them and to visit everyone who is doing the challenge.  This last week has been so crazy for me and I haven't been as on top of things as I'd like, but I'm rooting for us all:)

Now on to this weeks progress.  I'm not giving you much though. Just some snippets of what's to come for the reveal.  Don't hate me;)

What's left:
-ART!!!  I keep forgetting that I need to pull something out of my arse for this. I kind of feel like the wallpaper is art so I don't think I'll get too crazy.  What do you think?
-To cornice or not to cornice.  I have something in mind but not sure if I can pull it off.  In other words it will either look really good or really stupid.
-Styling-not my strong suit but I'm working on it.

Now scoot on over to check out everyone's progress.

P.S., I'm in DC for my conference.  Anyone have any good food recommendations?  I'm ready to get my eat on!
